This app is the real deal! This app is far from apocryphal, sorry for the redundancy, its just that Im learning so much from this app whilst containing the fun and exciting features that give vocabulary.com its popularity.

I hated memorizing flash card words and forgetting them after a week. This app has a very nice methodology that bring back the old word that you memorized already to refresh them. The features like pronunciation and examples makes you forget about the exam and just have fun learning some new words.

Im sorry, but this developer has had YEARS now to make the design work with newer iOS versions. Do have this popular of an app STILL not sized for an iPhone 6 (or plus) is bad.

Best way to learn vocabulary! This app identified my vocabulary gaps and tailored a practice routine to fill them in. It also helped me turn words I "kind-of" knew into words I can define, and it expanded my understanding of word usage. This app is extremely flexible: you can add any word you want to your "learning cue" and it has questions ranging from multiple choice to word spelling (so you dont just "kind-of" learn the definition and usage of a word; you learn how to spell, define, and use it). Usage examples are endless. My only suggestion to the developers is: if a word has Greek or Latin roots or prefixes, please include more information about the root or prefix AND give more examples of words from that "root family". That helps me remember words faster and recall them easier because it incorporates them into my existing knowledge framework.

This app is amazing for learning vocabulary. I recently started studying for my GRE and this app is doing a lot to help me learn the vocabulary I need to know. It teaches you in several different ways really helping you to think about the word and apply it to everyday life!

So much fun its almost addictive-and to think you are learning something at the same time! Wonderful app!!!!!

This is a great app!

App randomly doesnt let you add words like "chintzy" and "Arcadian" to lists which was the whole point I paid for it.

The best app to learn new words everyday and have an open mind and have your mind from nonsense games out there, that wastes your time only. Definitely I recommend to everybody, but specially for those whom are foreigners like myself. It gives the options to learn and focus more on those words you need the most. And perhaps some change may need but maybe that could be adding the options from changing language to others so dont have the need leave the app but have one app open only, that would definitely save lot of times and money. Congratulation to the creator of this and for being so benevolent to share his creativity.

I have been studying for my GRE and have found this app easy to use and enjoyable. I really does a great job at making learning fun. I look forward to using this app even after my GRE to continue to improve my vocabulary over the course of my life!

Ive tried several, this is a great app. Readable, well-edited definitions, including contextual use and etymology (often). Presents example uses from contemp media and classical literature. Very extensive word list. Good job, thanks for the helpful tool.
